Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba (DOB: 26 January, 1962) has served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nepal since 15 July, 2024. Deuba has been a member of the Nepali Congress Party since 1996, and one of the party’s elected Central Committee members since December 2021. She is currently a Member of the House of Representatives – a post she was elected to in 2022 under proportional representation for Khas people category. Deuba is a member of the Nepali Congress Party Convention and has been on the party’s Central Leadership Voting Committee since 2000. She was a member of the Constituent Assembly and the Parliament of Nepal for ten years (2008-2017). In these capacities, Deuba pursued various social issues, including women’s rights. She is the wife of former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
