It was nice meeting H.E. Sultan bin Saad bin Sultan Al Muraikhi, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Qatar, on the sidelines of the 8th Indian Ocean Conference 2025.

The meeting covered matters related to Nepal-Qatar relations as well as bilateral and multilateral cooperation including need for skilled technical workers and scholarship opportunities for Nepali students in Qatar.

We also discussed efforts to secure the release of Mr. Bipin Joshi, who has been held captive by Hamas since October 7, 2023. We hope Mr. Joshi will be released soon.
