Had a productive meeting with Mr. Ken Shimizu, the Country Representative for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and his team. We discussed several important topics, including innovation for sustainable agriculture production, equitable access to resources for small-scale producers, healthy diets and nutrition for the most vulnerable, transparent markets and trade, climate change mitigation and adaptation in agri-food systems, gender equality and the empowerment of rural women, and inclusive rural transformation.
