Addressing the “Nutrition and Development in Vulnerable States” panel at the 44th Session of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Conference in Rome, Italy. I noted Nepal’s progress in diversifying production, reducing food loss, strengthening food safety, and promoting healthy dietary choices. I also reflected on challenges posed by outward migration and climate change. Given its vast agricultural potential, Nepal can contribute meaningfully to the global community’s shared goals of improved nutrition and sustainable development. To this end, I called for enhanced collaboration, investment, and technical transfers.
