1990s

Founder and Chairperson, Kathmndu College of Management, Kathmandu University

Dr Rana Deuba established the Kathmandu College of Management (KCM) in 1996. KCM pioneered Bachelor’s in Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelor’s in Business and Information Science (BBIS). KCM is regarded as Nepal’s premier institution for management undergraduate degree. Its graduates are currently employed in more than 16 countries and work in both private and INGO sectors.

2000s

Chair, School Management Committee, Ullens School, Kathmandu

Ullens, affiliated with the Bank Street College of Education of New York, is Nepal's first not-for-profit distribution school. The pioneer of Nepal’s International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, Ullens directs its earnings towards supporting the education of over 100 children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Th school also hosts a Kindergarten program in association with the California Institute of Technology.
